“Amalfi Sunset” by Howard Behrens

“Cruising along the narrow road that follows the Amalfi Coast in Italy is something everyone should experience. It is nothing short of breathtaking. One very special afternoon, the sun was setting over the Bay of Naples, and the water reflected the brilliance of the sky. Like nothing I have seen before the water was ablaze with purple, red, and orange hues. It was one of those rare moments, a simple sunset, yet so unbelievable that words cannot describe. A sunset that you remember forever. Stopping me in my tracks, I, of course, had to paint the exact scene. So happy with the outcome of the painting, my wife and I had it blown up to a wall-sized mural which graced the entire dining room of our villa in Maryland.” – Behrens
