“Memories of Capri” by Howard Behrens

“There is a magic about the Isle of Capri. From the towering cliffs along the perimeter of the island, to the famous rocks called ‘Faraglioni’ emerging from the Bay of Naples. This amazing location along the southern coast of Capri is rich in history and art. The Isle of Capri is one of my favorite locations to paint. This one is of a scene in Ana Capri – a small fishing village on the south side of the island which is very a popular destination. Even for the local Italian families who take the ferry across the bay from Naples. I can see why they do. The emerald blue water, clear and warm, the local fishing boats bright and colorful. I wanted to memorialize my personal experiences of Capri with this painting.” – Behrens
