“Shimmering Waters of Giverny” by Howard Behrens

“Nostalgia grips my heart when I wander through the gardens of Giverny. A tribute to Monet, as Monet has always been my biggest inspiration. I can almost feel his presence as I slowly savor the fertile, organic gardens of his chalet. I feel the soft breezes against me, they seem to whisper ‘I will always be here’ as they gently ripple the surface of his lily ponds. I created this work of art as part of my personal ‘Tribute to Monet’ Collection– an exhibit that I am proud to have had featured at the Embassy of France in Washington, DC. This particular piece was one of the exhibition favorites. Please join Monet (in spirit) and myself as we experience the ‘shimmering waters’ of Monet’s lily ponds through our eyes.” – Behrens
